License for collecting, procurement and recycling ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal

Lion's Mark Law Company provides the services of obtaining the License for collecting, procurement and recycling ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal.

To obtain a license for collecting, procurement and recycling ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal, it is necessary to own or lease the site for metal storing having a total area of not less than 500 square meters for non-ferrous metals and 1000 square meters for ferrous metals. If there are several sites for metal storing (recycling centers), it is also necessary to order the copies of license for each of them and to obtain an approval for each and every site.
After that it is necessary to get inspected by the Fire Department, SSES, obtain a permit from the Department of Ecology, permit for commencement of works, operating permit for equipment (machinery) from the State Health and Safety Supervision Authority (SHSSA). It is necessary to pass radiological inspection and train the personnel, purchase dosimeter, non-ferrous metal valuation kit (or to sign an agreement with chemical laboratory), scales, containers for separate storage of different non-ferrous metals, loading and unloading equipment.

It is necessary to provide the title for the sites used for the storage and pre-processing of metal.

For obtaining the License for collecting and recycling the scrap metal, it is necessary to submit the following documents:

1. Standard application form;
   
2. List of documents;
   
3. Inspection report for each enterprise or specialized metallurgical processing plant or its recycling centers, present in the Application, regarding their conformity with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On scrap metal"
   
4. Certified copy of the Articles;
   
5. Certified copy of permit from the local Department of SHSSA for commencement of works for each specialized enterprise or specialized metallurgical recycling plant or its recycling center with addresses specified in the Application;
   
6. Title / Lease contract for each site to be used for activities under this license;
7. Certificate of compliance with regulations for specialized metallurgical recycling enterprise according to requirements of the State Industrial Policy and the State Entrepreneurship Service departments (in case of metallurgical recycling).
